dear readers,

my public library ordered The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch for me, adding this extraordinary memoir to their shelves and giving me hours of remarkable writing to sink into my brain into. it would be impossible to deny that Lidia has had an incredibly difficult life, mesmerizing in its highs and lows, in its horrors and beauties. i have been and continue to be astounded by this book.

Lidia’s life has been full of life. utterly full-up. i would like my life to be utterly full-up.

sara’s list of how to have an incredible life

1. i want to be proud of and excited about my accomplishments, activities, relationships, habits, and means of support.
2. i want to eat well and move well (and often).
3. (number three may not be appropriate for some audiences!)
4. i don’t want to have a “textbook” (i.e. normal, expected, perfect, status quo, etc.) anything.
5. i want to be as beautiful as naturally possible.
6. i want to remain curious during the sad times.

just a start. be inspired!! live live live!

and read Anaïs Nin. she knew about living.

Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adversity and stumble from defeat to defeat. – Anaïs Nin

  1. “We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversation with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk.” -Thomas Moore
